So what happened to Fox's show "Drive".?!
Question:
So what happened to Fox's show "Drive".?
I know it got canceled but why? Was it lack of money? Not enough viewers?
BTW I loved that show. Can't believe they took it off.
Answers: They cancelled it because no one was watching it. It won't be back in January, it's gone for good. I thought it was ridiculous that they cancelled it (I liked it a lot too and thought it was very promising). Only 4 episodes aired but the show was cancelled after 2 weeks.
Fox's mistake was airing the series the way they did. The first 2 episodes of Drive were aired back-to-back on a Sunday night and then the 3rd episode was aired the following Monday. Fox has had success airing 24's season premieres this way for the past few years and I think they just expected 24-level ratings out of it. I personally think that's absurd because 24 was a well established series when they started airing premieres that way (the show was in it's 4th season).
Fox was probably asking too much. I mean, the previews for Drive looked good but how many people would honestly spend 2 hours watching a show they've never seen that didn't have a massive amount of hype behind it and then be expected to watch another hour the next night?
Fox rarely seems to take care of their shows or give them a fair chance and Drive was just another victim of the network's carelessness. it was probly becuz lack of viewers...i dont think anybody even watched that show and i heard nobody talking about it...
but it'll probly come back around like january... It sounds like the ratings were bad.
"The premiere of "Drive" drew only a 3.7/6 for FOX."
