Has anyone hadproblems with Virgin media since it changed from ntl telewest?

I seem to have had problems with freezing screen, loss of program info and over the past few days, loss of the whole service. My hubby wants us to change to sky but i don't know if it would be better or not as it would mean that i have to get a bt phoneline and change my online server. Sky one has gone since they changed and I don't watch the tv much myself by my hubby does and he is sick of all the disruption. Any advise welcome. THANKS

Yes - I've had similar problems on and off. They seem to be having some network problems in localised areas. A few weeks ago I was having a great deal of difficulty with my service while they were having a lot of problems in my area, but it's mostly been working fine for me for the past couple of weeks.

I still get a frozen screen and loss of programme info occasionally even now there are no network problems though. Rebooting the box (i.e. switch off for 5 seconds and switch back on again), however, has fixed the problem on every occasion.

My Sister has got Sky by the way, and she experiences more problems with her service than I normally do with Virgin.
