Why is GH ruining Sam's character?!

Why is GH ruining Sam's character?

When Kelly Monaco's contract was up for renewal a while back, all her fans were fighting for her to stay on GH. Now the writers are ruining her character Sam. Are they trying to get rid of her? Why are they making loyal Sam fans hate her? Will her character ever be redeemed?
I feel they are throwing Sam under the bus for Liz. Liz didn't want Jason before because of his lifestyle, but he still has that same lifestyle so why now? It can't be because of the child because that would be more reason to distance herself from his lifestyle. Liz & Jason just don't look right together. She's his little sister's best friend; it just seems as weird as Sonny & Emily. Since JaSam is over, who will put her with now or is she leaving?

First they're ruining Sam's character because she's leaving the show. Unfortunately, I don't think her character will be redeemed. I totally agree about them throwing Sam under the bus for Liz.
I mean, everyone's talking about how Sam's being horrible, but what about Liz.
1. She cheated on Lucky and got pregnant with Jason.
2. She lied about Jake's paternity for months.
3. She finally admitted to Jason that Jake was his, and then asked him to give Jake up, and let her and Lucky raise Jake.
4. She kept Jake even though everyone could clearly see that it was killing Jason, and then she had to go to Jason with all her problems. While Jason was supposed to be preparing for his murder trial.
5. After all that she did, she fell in love with Jason.
6. She's not doing anything to help Jason get out of Jail.
7. She's getting resentful of Lucky because she loves Jason, then she's taking it out on Lainey.
I think that Jason & Liz are totally wrong for each other. They just don't fit. Some couples for example Luke & Laura just fit. They're perfect for each other. Liz & Jason aren't one of those couples.
