i only watched like the last 15 minutes of it and that was pretty muchh itt. i was out so i couldnt get the chance to watch the beginning and all, can someone explain what happened?/?

Kyle is training himself to strengthen his senses through sensory deprivation the way that Foss taught him. He is able to extend his hearing to Amanda's room, where he listens to her heartbeat as she sleeps. Then he hears another heartbeat in her room, and realizes that there is someone else in the house. He rushes over to protect her, and chases the burglar out of the house. He goes back to make sure Amanda is okay. She's fine, except the burglar got away with a bracelet her dad had given her right before he died. Amanda's mom is all pissed off at Kyle for being there and kicks him out of the house.

The next day, Steven is playing one of Josh's video games. He puts on the headset, and Josh's friends come on and start talking about pot.

Jessie has her first session with Nicole. She senses Kyle's presence almost immediately, as Kyle does hers. After the session, Jessie runs into Declan, who is there getting his box of stuff from Lori. Jessie and Declan seem to have a moment, which Lori of course catches.

Kyle and Amanda are both called into the police station for questioning. Amanda doesn't recognize the burglar from the line up, but afterwards, when the suspects are all leaving, Kyle recognizes the burglar's irregular heartbeat. (We later find out the guy's a Meth addict.) He doesn't tell the cops though, because he already said he didn't get a look at the burglar's face, and is afraid to tell them the truth about how he knows.

Steven tells Nicole about Josh and the pot. It turns out that Josh got it from their closet; they had used it last at some long ago party. They agree to play Bad Cop, Worse Cop with Josh, though Steven is a little afraid of being a hypocrite. Guess who's Worse Cop. Steven goes in first and talks to Josh. Turns out he doesn't need Nicole after all.

Lori councils Kyle about Amanda. She suggests he get the bracelet back. Kyle uses the data of similar break ins around the neighborhood to figure out where he'll strike next. He gets Lori to go with him on a stakeout by promising to give her the new code to their security system once he figures it out. They wait until the burglar tries to break into the house, then Lori calls in an anonymous tip to the police. The burglar is arrested, and Lori tells Amanda what Kyle did for her.

Kyle and Lori go all around town searching for Amanda's bracelet at pawn shops. When they finally find it, it turns out that the bracelet was never stolen; Amanda's own mother pawned it. Kyle trades the necklace Adam gave him for Amanda's necklace. He takes it to Amanda's mom so that she can give it to Amanda and say it was just lost, not stolen, but Amanda walks in on the conversation. Kyle leaves so Amanda and her mom can talk. Amanda later tells Kyle that her mother has been having financial difficulties since her dad died, and her mother needed the money. Amanda gives Kyle the money her mom got from the bracelet to get the ring back; both she and her mom wants him to have it. But when Kyle goes back to the pawn store, it's already been sold. Kyle and Amanda make up and hug. He feels her heartbeat against him.

Stephen has a job interview and is hired by Ballantine's boss at a company he calls Manticore. Ballantine's boss is now wearing Adam's ring.
