Oh yes. He returns from a short break (amidst a puzzle of dioramas) with a desire for life and he makes it clear Sarah is part of that life. I just watched an episode where he subtly refers to their private sex life (a drunken boxer who is murdered by about 8 different people in one night, you'll remember this when you see it), no other colleague knows yet.
