and why isn't Dan in some of those episodes?
Answers:
After they win the money they go on a spending spree - got new furniture, kitchen, vacations, spas, etc. Dan isn't in some of the episodes because he went to visit his mom to try and find her a good doctor - he was gone for awhile. And when he came back, Rosie found out he had an affair.
In the final episode, you learned that Dan died from the heart attack at Darlene and David's wedding and everything was kind of like a dream. Everything wasn't real - Roseanne was writing a book. Becky and David were together and Darlene and Mark were an item instead of how it played out on the show.
