Note to James M: Simon and Simon and Magnum P.I. are now available on DVD sets. I just saw them for sale at Best Buy. I am sure that many other venues carry them as well.

Yes, it would be great to see Mike Connors as Mannix again. Several of those 1970's detective shows have been slow to get to DVD. I think Hawaii Five 0 is finally out or will be out fairly soon.
It was great when he reprised his role as Mannix on an episode of Diagnosis Murder with Dick Van Dyke. They took flashback scenes from an old Mannix episode and got the actors back from the show to solve a case on Diagnosis Murder. It was great that those actors were all alive that they could do it--brilliant acting and casting. It was good when that Diagnosis Murder brought Andy Griffith back as Matlock too.
