Does anyone know why Dennis Farina was removed as Green's partner on Law & Order?
I think that he was the very best replacement for Jerry Orbach that they could have chosen.
I was staying in a Vegas motel in the late 80s, when they shot an episode of 'Crime Story' there--and he was so nice. And, no one can deny his great part as Jay-Lo (Karen Sisco's) dad in "Out of Sight."

His Wiki bio just says that he left to pursue other projects. On the show, they had his character retire.
