Have you seen the Law and Order: Criminal Intent Episode (2005) with the murder of the health-inspector?

There was a Law and Order:Criminal Intent episode where a health inspector was murdered.He was the brother of a doctor.The doctor at the end confessed to murdering his wife some years ago and his brother.The doctor and brother were trying to kill the doctor's daughter,Gwen,by giving her carcinogens(cancer-causing material in lotion)because the daughter received a few million dollars in a settlement years ago because she was born to a mother who took some drug that prevents miscarriages,but was later learned to cause birth defects such as cancer.The doctor and brother wanted to get the money,and they would get it as heirs if they killed the doctor's daughter.They did this so they could live abroad taking drugs,since both doctor and his brother were drug addicts.Can somebody tell me if it was actually the Australlian woman who killed the health-inspector because in the beginning it shows the inspector meeting a blonde lady at the Projects (apt's.)?Did she confess to itorwhat in the end?

The Australian librarian (woman) apparently tried to sincerely love Gwen, the doctor's daughter, because of her past inability to save or take care of her 3-year old daughter who died in some accident. Did she kill the health-inspector in order to stop him and his helping of his brother doctor in killing Gwen, the doctor's daughter?

They never said but I think that she did kill the health inspector. She did not confess in the end she took off with the little girl but ended up leaving the little girl with her aunt. I think she set up the doctor so that she could "protect" the little girl.

FYI - Also, her daughter didn't die in an accident - she killed her. The Australian woman was in several episodes that season and all this came out in a prior episode.
