I have an idea for a tv show, how do i protect myself?
I've sent out treatments to trusted production houses (friends) and have gotten positive feedback. I just need to know the if I should get my idea copyrighted, if so how do it do it, or patent the treatment, if so how do i do it? No abusers please, thanks in advance.

Send a copy of your ideas to yourself in the mail - but don't open the mail - that will protect you if your idea is stolen because it will have an official post office stamp on it with the date - make sure you sign the letter you send to your self so they can match the signature.
