Whats with Star Treck?

I just watched the first 5 episodes and i didn't get a single thing about it.

Unfortunately, you did not identify WHICH Star Trek you were watching...if it is Enterprise, the latest, most would agree...BUT Next Generation or Voyager or the original series, well, five episodes are plenty to "get it." As for Deep Space 9, that was an acquired taste, but the fist five episodes should have been enough to get you to a "get it point." So if it was Enterprise, go back to Next Generation for awesome quality plots and characters. If it was one of the others, well, you know what-Star Trek may just not be your thing. That's OK. I mean not everyone has to love or "get" everything out there. I mean, some people kill for "Friends" but I found it banal
and vapid and shallow. A few yucks, sure, but come one, clearly a fad TV show. So there, what can you do, everyone has a right to their own tastes.
