On "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader", do you think the show is rigge!

Question:

On "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader", do you think the show is rigged?

I have only seen two full episodes, but the contestants appear to act a lot dumber than they actually are. They will flawlessly answer a number of questions and then suddenly 'drop out' when asked a simple question that they almost certainly know the answer to. What do you think?

Answers:

I think it's like with Deal or No Deal, where it's obvious producers tell the contestants to be very, very personable when on stage, because there is never one contestant who isn't a consistenly obnoxious d:ckhead. So, with 5th Grader, I'm sure they just tell the contestants to act dumb, or just a little bit ditzy, at least.

I don't want to believe that the actually question-and-answer is rigged, but it seems only obvious again that producers rig it in terms of how long a contestant should take to answer a question; otherwise, the show would be a lot shorter in length, or, we the audience would have to sit through more commercials. So, it's a lose-lose situation there. In terms of getting the questions right or not, I stick to believing that a lot of people are just pretty stupid.
