When a TV show goes off the air for good, what do they do with the sets?
Answers:
Most of the time, they junk them. Truly. I watched a program about Friends and how sad they were to see their set destroyed. Some pieces are kept or purchased, but like tearing down the cafe (which everyone thought was real), it was very sad for the cast to see.
They usually hang on to staircases, etc. Since people have such a sharp eye, it is hard to keep using some things because they will be recognized and appear too phoney. (even though they are).
