Why didn't Shatner as Tiberius Kirk happen on Star Trek: Enterprise?
I know there were rumors that he was supposed to guest star as James Kirk's great-grandfather Tiberius Kirk. Were they just rumors, or did Shatner nix the idea, or did it just fall through? What's the final word on why this didn't happen? It would've been great!
Answers:
It was actually Shatner's idea. He had come up with a mirror universe story for him to do a guest appearance, but in the end, it fell through. They went on to do the two-parter mirror universe story anyway.
