The Office!!!!!!!!!?!

Question:

The Office!!!!!!!!!?

Does anyone know how the British version of The Office and the American version of The Office compare. Who is "Britain's Steve Carrel"? Like the boss guy. Do you have a preferance? That show rocks. Thank you England for this show! lol
Oh yeah and is there anywhere to see the British version online?

Answers:

Both shows are very funny! David Brent is the British Michael Scott. As far as which one is better, I think it depends on which one you see first. After becoming obsessed with the American Office, I got out a DVD of the British version. It was funny, but it didn't capture my attention the way the American one does. Also, I had become so attached to the American characters that I was not as interested by the british ones.

From personal experience, I think the main difference really comes from the fact that each are designed to appeal to a different audience. The British show's humor is very dry. While the American office is more dry than most American sitcoms, it is catered more towards the American audience, who has a shorter attention span.
