I hate Time warner! I just want basic cable, not satellite.

The City of Dayton website notes that Time Warner has a non-exclusive franchise-someone else can come in but it looks like no one has. There is an e-mail address and phone number for the Cable Channel and Administrator. If you are having significant problems that you can't resolve directly with Time Warner, contact the City's Cable Administrator -they are there to help customers and monitor complaints about the cable company. They won't know there is a problem unless you tell them- or they can add you to the statistics to let the company know there is a trend if other customers are having similar problems. Check with ATT and Verizon-lots of companies are starting new services through phone lines in different parts of the country. They may or may not be in your area yet. Again, the City or county would be a source to let you know if that has happened.
