Why has reality TV overtaken our televison programming?
I have noticed that TV stations are showing much more "reality" programming than worthwhile shows. Examples of this are VH1 and particularly MTV. No offense to anyone here, but MTV royally sucks. They are called "Music Television", so save TRL, where is the music? It's reality up and down the slots.
And furthermore, why this this referred to as "reality"? There is no way these kinds of things can be real. One episode of "My Super Sweet Sixteen" featured a girl who recieved a $600 cake and a Mercedes roadster! Now, how often do you see that in the real world?

It's all about perceived rating. People watch and discuss the next day. Be afraid when you become reality TV with the street cameras and google earth.
