MTV killed the video star?!
Question:
MTV killed the video star?
I just watched a clip of the launch of MTV in 1981 and got to thinking about how much it's changed. Now, I'm not old enough to remember the old MTV, but I do know that the current MTV is pathetic, nothing but dumb reality shows. When MTV made VH1, it became the music video channel, but that quickly changed and MTV 2 has become the channel for old reject MTV shows. My question is, it really going to hurt to have at least a couple of hours a day reserved for music videos?

My suggestion would be to devote at least 5 hours to music videos. I guess there has to be some kind of compromise between the shows and music.

That's what YouTube is for.
