Answers:
Not forever, just temporarily until she can recover from what obviously was an emotional breakdown. That should take about a week or so.
Although Brooke should not have left the kids with Nick (who left a lighter lying around,) I believe her when she said she was in another room cooking when the fire started. I saw Hope drop the candle that started it (on purpose, I might add) and I was very surprised that she was not disciplined for it. You play with fire, you will be burned.
I don't think Brooke can be an all that effective mother with Stephanie around. Stephanie and Ridge really need to mind their own business with her.
