Any chance that someone will know what Im on about....programme from the 80's (UK)?

I think it was on BBC2 early evening......it was based in Space and contestants were picked up from earth at the biginning of every show...the currency they needed to win to get home was like a round clear plastic disk and had a coloured shape in the middle......the lady that helped them was a young chinese woman and her uncle was a large angry house plant....near the end of the show one of the contestants walked across a grid that was suspended in space....they were guided across by another contestant and if they stepped on the wrong square they vanished.
Any idea what it was called??

Steelhead....omg slap me across the head with a dictionary I used the wrong word....your life must be dull to go round collecting points by correcting people.

I think that this may have been called "the adventure game".
