Gunsmoke was by far one of the finest shows on tv. The acting was so excellent. I look at my tapes and marvel at the superior cast and the A One guest list.

Gunsmoke had the BEST cast , EVER assembled. Each one was PERFECT for their role.
I would have paid to have been a part of this troupe. Their genuine affection for each other shone through all the time:

It was GREAT. It had action AND romance.......anyone who thought Matt didn't love Kitty should see this episode.
I once met Lorne Greene on an elevator. We got off and spoke. He was a very nice man.
NOW.....If I had been on that elevator with JAMES ARNESS, I would have ditched my husband -to-be and never left the lift!!
Seriously, we would STILL be there !!
In conclusion......here's the deal.
Matt Dillon is DA MAN. And he's MY man for as long as I breathe. I absolutely adore him.
P.S. As goode ( I AM clever) as Chester was, Festus was the BEST REPLACEMENT for a key actor ....EVER !!! He was just wonderful...."Don't ya see?!'
