What or who inspired the character of MAMA HARPER as played by Vicki Lawrence on MAMA'S FAMILY?
I know that the show MAMA'S FAMILY spun off from a long running sketch on the CAROL BURNETT SHOW, and the character of MAMA was fairly similar. However, there must be some inspriration on how the character was concieved or drawn from, and how Vicki Lawrence handled the role.
Does anyone know more about the show and about the MAMA character?
