How come ther is no channel 1 on non-cable tv? my mom want's to know.
Answers:
At the inception of commercial television, channel one was to be left for emergency government access only. Remember, at that time there were only 13 channels.
Now of course the rule is outmoded with all the access channels that are available, but the rule was never changed.
