If and when David tennant hangs up his time travelling doctor who?!

Question:

If and when David tennant hangs up his time travelling doctor who?

who do you think should replace him?
and do you you think they will ever do another episode when they will have more than 1 doctor in it again?

Answers:

I think Mark Gatiss would be a great choice to play the 11th Doctor. He has of course already appeared in DW as Professor Lazarus, has written a number of episodes and is a life long Doctor Who fan, as well as being an excellent character actor.

Apparently Russel. T Davies has expressed a preference for Michael Sheen (who played Tony Blair in "The Deal"), but whether Sheen would still be willing to take the role by the time Tennant leaves is anybodies guess. Anyway, Hopefully Tennant will remain the Doctor for a long time yet.

Next year is the 45th Anniversary of Doctor Who, and I would love to see them making a multiple Doctor story for that. I kind of doubt that it will happen though, since RTD apparently doesn't much like the idea, and the BBC's financial constraints may prevent it anyway.

laurawhitby is repeating an unfounded rumour. A couple of weeks ago the controller of BBC1 said they had big plans for Doctor Who and that it would be on our screens for many years to come.
