Why would you watch "the first 48" over "The closer"?!

Why would you watch "the first 48" over "The closer"?

I prefer actual true events to a scripted crime show. Truth always has been stranger than fiction. In "The Closer" she most always solves the crime, but in the "First 48" sometime the time runs out before they solve the crime or even locate a suspect. I like the female Sargeant in Memphis. She is really great!
