Why is it when soap operas introduce a new character that is from an ethnic minority they never show it how?

it really is, for instance, if they introduce a muslim they will always find a light skinned one who goes to the pub, mixes well with all the white people, doesnt go to mosque ten times a day like most of them do, and integrates well with everyone else. We know that this isnt the norm, are they scared to show it how it really is???

Because they have worn out the minority bum, runaway, thief, maid, and ranch hand introductory story lines.
