What did you think of last night's John from Cincinnati?

All I've got to say is WOW! So much to process, definitely a cerebral show, and I love it. Had to watch it a few times so that it all sank in. But it's crazy how closely they are referencing John to Jesus...John from Cincinnati, JC, Jesus Christ. I do not consider myself religious anymore but it's still interesting to me, coming from a Christian family. But it is obvious that John is some kind of prophet, if not the son of God or a god himself. The only question is, why is here in Imperial Beach, following the Yosts around? He is like a guardian angel for the family.

And let me correct myself - I think it was inaccurate to label John as a guardian angel for the Yost's because he has influenced the lives of Bill, Vietnam Joe, Cass, and others as well as the Yost's.

When has anyone sought out John? It seems to me as he has always been the one to seek those in need, whether they realize it or not. This past episode is evident of that when John "passes out."

This show is absolute the most cerebral, thought-provoking, wonderfully-manufactured show I've seen in a VERY LONG TIME!

After the first episode, I said remember that "WOW" was the only word I could utter...and it's been a truly amazing ride ever since.

I thought John's presense throughout this episode was true awesome. His "visitation" to Cissy in the kitchen window was brilliantly conceived and played out. His "out of body" motel monologue was worth watching over and over again to attempt to grasp its depth. Every piece of dialogue is so well thought and every coinciding action has left me truly spellbound.

The scene in the van when Bill became the first to actually call him a parrot (something we've all said on the other side of the screen several times) gave me an extra chuckle. Before John "left" to save Cissy, that van scene took all characters to a deeper, more personal level that I truly appreciated.
