When American Idol starts it's next season ( season 7 i think) then you would go to the place where they are doing the auditions. You obviously sing for the three/four judges, and then your fate lies in the hands of the judges. If you continue to wow the judges and America( and if you have a good voice), then you might become the next American Idol!
