Have you been to any of the fan events to meet the soap?

actors? And, when you do go, don't you feel silly meeting these people that we do not know and acting like we do know them.....it seems it would be rather weird.... who has been and was it REALLY fun?

I have been to several soap events ( and i am over 45)-did i feel silly? not at all- excited and a bit tongue tied but i had fun-- the first one I flew to NY ( westcoaster) and got to meet Chad Brannon ( GH-Zander) ON my Birthday! my online soap friends paid for 2 events as a present that weekend. At the second apparance I was bidding on a tshirt Chad was wearing and not only did i win, get to 'take the shirt off him', but he leaned in and Kissed my right on the Lips! what a birthday present! LOL-- I have also been to the GH Fan club weekend in CA, a concert with GH's Wally and Chad ( "ned" and 'zander') in NC, and the last one was in NYC for the GL fan weekend. I am more shy in person but luckily I was hangin' out with message board friends and that helped and a couple of them ran offical actor sites so some of the actors stopped by our table to talk to us after the event
I have no regrets- only great memories- not only of meeting the actors I like but meeting face to face many of the friends i have made on soap boards. All of the actors I have met were more than kind to their fans- many going above and beyond the 'call of duty' to talk with their fans- (staying extra time).
