Answers:
I really miss Variety Shows - whether it was Ed Sullivan, John Davidson, Carol Burnett, Sonny and Cher or Donny and Marie: they no longer exist and I feel they still have a place in my television universe. I've found I have little interest in "talent shows" like Rising Star and Idol - I'd rather watch established stars be showcased in their own strength; be it ballet, magic, singing or dancing. Sure, the talk shows let us meet the people and sometimes they perform but it's just not the same.
All that being said:

The FBI (in color!)
The Fugitive
I think the dramas would translate well to today's television much better than the comedies of the era -- no more Maynard G. Krebs for me!
