yes it is cancelled. i love that show too. i hate how it ended on a cliff hanger. well this is what i found on wikipedia : Thomas has stated that he is interested in writing a feature film based on the series, in the interests of providing closure to the storylines and character arcs. He created a trailer that takes place years after the third season ends, with the working title "Veronica in the FBI". It is due to be released on the Veronica Mars third season DVD.[5]
so we might get a real ending this time
