Lie Detector test.If 97% are accurate, does that mean 3 in every 100 people get !
Question:
Lie Detector test.If 97% are accurate, does that mean 3 in every 100 people get wrong results?
I'm referring to the morning tv programme called Jeremy Kyle and Trisha Goddard show.
Does it mean that 3 out of a100 shows are wrong? because if they're stating some one is lying, what if they are the odd 3 and they are actually telling the truth?
Answers:
yes and no. 97% accurate it could be just one question where they get a wrong result, doesn't have to be every question that you ask the same person. and how would this make 3 out of 100 shows be wrong? A lie detector test is a test to check if someone is lying. It does not mean that 3 out of 100 people lie, nor does it mean that 3 out of 100 tv programmes are wrong.
Most likely more than 3 out of 100 people will lie to you, but that's just my 0.02 $
