Little House on the Prairie - how did the series end?

I was just watching TV Land Confidential where the woman who played Nellie was explaining to keep the sets from being used after the series was over, Michael Landon had everything blown up. It was part of the storyline.

WHAT was the storyline where everything blew up? I watched this as a kid, if I saw it I can't rmember any longer.

I actually saw the finale a couple of months ago, and I was shocked. Some guy from out of town, whatever, with alot of money claimed he owned all the land in Walnut Grove. He started trying to take over there, and was planning to move in on the other little towns. Everyone in Walnut Grove was basically being thrown out of the town. So they all took a stand. They said he may own the land, but we own the buildings. So each business owner and homeowner blew up the buildings with dynamite. That is how the final episode went, in a nutshell.
