Is it true that Russell T. Davies is going to axe Dr WHO, whot in the hell is he!

Question:

Is it true that Russell T. Davies is going to axe Dr WHO, whot in the hell is he thinking of.?

And are Geoffrey Sax (director) and Matthew Jacobs (writer) of the Dr WHO movie way back in 1996 with Paul McGann (eighth doctor) doing a second movie all about the time war. I think thay have been in meeting with BBC WORLDWIDE or the FOX NETWORK is it true or not. But as for RTD whot in the Sam hell is he thinking of axeing Dr WHO he can hand it over to another head writer like Mattew Jacobs and a new director like Geoffrey Sax. Whot in the hell is he doing if this is true, who do he think he is a control freak, i say hand it over to someone who can do the job, without being lazy and cant be bovvered anymore.Dr WHO is for life not just for Christmas if you know wht i mean and if you can answer the two questions then you are a true fan.

Answers:

No it definitely isn't true that Doctor Who is being axed. A few weeks ago the controller of BBC1 (Jane Tranter) said in an interview that the BBC have a long term commitment to Doctor Who and it will be on BBC1 for years to come.

There was a rumour that Russel. T Davies might be leaving at the end of series 4, but the BBC said that no discussions regarding the matter had been entered into, and that he would be replaced if and when he decided to leave.

The moral of the story is - don't believe any rumours about Doctor Who that originate in the Sun newspaper

As for the film - There was a rumour a couple of months ago that a new 8th Doctor movie might be on the way (I asked a question about it myself a while back). It turned out that this rumour was based on an old report from 2001 though, so it too is apparently false.
