Kirk was a joke. A pre-technology drama king who overacted all of his lines. That's the draw in watching the reruns now. Back then it was Spock.
Benjamin Sisko was a space station captain. Doesn't qualify for that alone. If we need more, how about those shifty eyes and that inappropriate grin? Made him seem disturbed. I liked Quark best on that show.
Kathryn Janeway reminds me of a Keebler Elf. Her first, Chicote is the draw.
I refuse to watch Enterprise. I am proud to say I have never seen a single episode. No way they could predate the original Star Trek. I may not have liked Kirk, but he was the first Star Trek captain and always will be.
Which leaves us with Jean-Luc Picard. The best hands down. Logical, commanding, rational, and even sexy. I loved Next Generation. Best crew too. * Lt. Woarf! HOT!*
