Old kids TV Show!?
I asked this a couple of days ago and got a response Captain Planet but its not the right show, it was on in late 70's / early 80's:
The superheros lived inside the core of the earth (or under water) and whenever they were needed they stepped into transparant tubes that whisked them up to the earths surface at high speed. I have a feeling they could then change into various animals.
