Question:

Young and the Restless fans...I saw where William was choking when Michael was aggravating and threatening?

him and then a couple of days later they were accepting condolences for him??? what happened that he died?

Additional Details

yes, I don't see why they didn't have a nurse's aide or home health aide there to bathe him and dress him...if he was paralyzed on both sides, it would not be easy and could easily take two strong people ...also to change his depends every 2 hours or toilet him. Although Michael and Kevin are strong enough, I doubt that they would want to do this. I don't see why they went to Michael's house at all, except for maybe financial reasons...still if they sold William's house or condo, that could have given them some money for a caregiver.

Answers:

He died from complications of pneumonia. Because of his stroke, his lungs were not able to expand properly. They had originally thought that he had a second stroke. Michael called an ambulance for William. After they did tests at the hospital, they determined that he had pneumonia. The nurse said that he needed to be placed on oxygen when he was at home in order to help his lungs to expand (so he could breath better). However when he was brought home they never had him on oxygen. There wasn't even an oxygen tank around. Gloria gave William some tea to drink. Then she went into another room for just a couple of minutes. While she was out of the room, William stopped breathing. When Gloria returned to the room where William was at she found him slumped over dead in his wheelchair.
Sophiesmama, you need to start paying more attention to the show. William was brought home from the hospital a short time after being admitted. Gloria was there alone with him. She gave William some tea to drink with a straw. (no, she didn't do anything to it). Then she had to go into another room for something and she left for just a couple of minutes. When she came back into the room, William was slumped over in his wheelchair.
Also, nothing has ever been said about a second stroke yet. Seeings how he was just diagnosed with pnemonia at the hospital and was told he needed to be on oxygen (which he wasn't on when he was brought home), I think he died from complications of pneumonia and not from a second stroke. I think that he went to cough and his lungs wouldn't expand properly (something that the nurse had mentioned at the hospital earlier). Either way, he died of natural causes. Gloria didn't cause him to die.
