Where do you think the Simpsons takes place?!

Where do you think the Simpsons takes place?

Which state, I mean. They say if you follow the clues you can tell, I'm just curious to everyone's opinion.

Okay maybe I should be more clear--Every state has a Sprinfield---there are random hints as to where it may be, details would be appreciated--why do you think that state?

There is only one Simpsons episode ever that reveals the location of the Springfield (the one the Simpsons live in). In episode 248 season 11 called Behind the Laughter. The narrator (Jim Forbes) clearly states that they are from Norther Kentucky. I even looked it up on google to see if this city even exists. It does. It even says in it Wikipedia page that it is the hometown of the Simpsons.
