Answers:
When he started the show, he told them he had graduated from culinary school as well as served in Afghanistan. Neither were true. He WAS a Marine, but had never been deployed to Afghanistan. He was given a chance to come clean at a press event, but chose not to....in the end he came to the hosts and admitted he lied and removed himself from the competition.
