To those who say acting: Okay, fair enough. But it's not that simple! There's still an audience in the studio and at home, so there must be some kind of effect on those participants. Plus, just because you're acting, that doesn't mean it's not humiliating, or even exploitative. And just because you're getting paid, it doesn't mean you're acting.
