I haven't read any spoilers on this subject. I sure hope they don't break up. I've always thought Lauren sorta sold her soul to keep secrets for Michael's sake, i.e., protecting his mother, or Kevin........Lauren always looked like she hated doing it, especially when William was still alive and he wrote that note to Lauren, saying she knew about Gloria. Lauren looked looked so guilty. Maybe her guilt puts a strain on the marriage.
