Opinion: Why do you think The Simpsons is the longest-running sitcom in TV history?
I believe it's because of the timelessness.... no one ages, everything stays pretty much the same. Maggie is forever a baby, and who would even want to watch if Bart grew up into a responsible, mature young man? I'm interested in your opinion.
Answers:
I do like the "Simpsons" and think the reason why they always stay the same because people sometimes do not want things to change. Can you imagine Bart being 30? Lisa at 28? Maggie going to college? Abe being dead? Homer in a wheelchair and Marge losing her hair?
We cannot fathom that. We always want them to stay that age and that dumb. It is a timeless classic where Mrs.Krabapple is always alone, Skinner's mom is a mean C (and not even his mom, nor is it his real name) and everyone staying, somwhat, the same.
