Is Big Brother a hypocrite?!

Question:

Is Big Brother a hypocrite?

No-one in their right mind would think that Emily shouldn't have been reprimanded for the use of that appalling word, but when compared to Charley's accusation of Gerry being a paedophile, we see a very different, more caring and understanding Big Brother. If BB had kept the rules the same, then surely we should have seen BB waking Charley up in a 'dawn raid' and flinging her out into the cold night sky with her tail between her legs? Instead, we get a lecture and no action. Nothing more than 'go to your room and have a good think about what you've done.'

Answers:

I think they can't face the consequences of not giving her an eviction so they let her off. I think evicting Emily on Charleys behalf gave her power over the other hms and thats where some of their fear of her stems from.
The comment to Gerry was indefensible, and to plead ignorance over the age of consent is not a valid excuse. It goes further than accusing him of paedophilia, I actually think it was a very homophobic view point. She should have been reprimanded in more forceful way.
