I see your points and it's nice to see blokes cry but come on, they're not exactly being held prisoners are they?

I think it would be an act of a heartless man to withold tears at such an emotional experience. A real man has the ability to show their emotions. That is an asset of a real man.
If he imposes those emotions on to you in an overbearing way demanding attention and sympathy for their pain then he is a wimp. Neither of the men in that house seemed to do that. The emotion seemed genuine and did not seem to be a cry for sympathy or attention.

Therefore I am afraid that I disagree with your comment.
