Do you like Ugly Betty? What makes it so successful?

I watch only one episode when i had a promotion on that american channel with my Cable, but the serie really didn't got me. So i'm wondering what is it that i missed?

And do you know if there is some plans to send it to México?

I already watched "La Fea mas bella", wich is the Mexican version. It was ok but the last chapters were really bad!
And watch "Betty la Fea" from Colombia, wich was pretty much the best version.
But i'm wondering especially the american Version, since is an american product, but created by latin people.
It's like something Mexican people can feel proud of because of Salma Hayek and the other Producer, who is from Monterrey.!!

My daughter and I don't miss an episode, she is 13. We like it because first of all it is funny, has a storyline that continues from week to week, all the characters are awesome, you can relate to them either through yourself or someone you know. They are extreme but you still know them. The show is in reruns right now but give it another chance. As far as Mexico that is part of the storyline, just like New York.
