For those real life polyigamists who have seen the HBO series Big Love?

Is that what it's really like? What are the differences & similarities between real life and the show?
It would help if the ones that answer be mormon-based polyigamists, not the type on the Maury show who just basically have open relationships all around.

I thought I spelt it wrong--I meant polygamist, sorry!

Polygamists real polygamists don't surf the net.
They live very backward lives compared to ours.
They do not watch TV either or listen to rock music.
And they don't attend school.
So don't be surprised if you don't get any answers from " real " polygamists.

They are nothing like what is being portrayed on TV in the HBO show, which I like.
In real life young girls 13 & 14 years old have to marry old men and are not allowed to use birth control which is forbidden.
You boys are chased from the communities away from there famalies and left destitute and alone all because they threaten the older men . They don't want the young boys taking the young girls away from them.
They are called the Lost Boys.
Currently there are over 4000 of them living in Western States.
It is not pretty.
