Problems with internet radio?!
Question: Problems with internet radio!?
Hi I have the latest version of winamp and an HP computer with Vista!. When i try to play internet Radio like that on sky!.FM and shout cast i get this message!.
"This file does not have a program associated with it for preforming this action!. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel" and that's word for word!.
I looked at he winamp FAQ and such but found no help!. Anyone know what I can do to fix this!? Many thanksWww@Enter-QA@Com

Could be a couple of things and you may get a better answer on the computer board here at Yahoo or at Microsoft!. Or just put "Winamp association problem" (without the quotes) into your favorite search engine, including the one at the top of the page!.
A file association tells the computer what program to use when you click on a file!. If you have a Word file on your desktop and double click it, the computer knows to open it in Word because an association has been previously established between the application Word and files of that type (!.txt; !.doc; !.rtf; etc)!.
Perhaps your Winamp is not responding for one reason or another!. You could try to unclick all associations, close all porgrams, restart, then re-open and re-select!. Then restart again!. This may fix the problem!.
Though unlikely in this case, another problem is with the version of either Java or Flash!. Go to the sites below and download the latest versions of both!.
If all else fails try to find a tech support contact, it’s possible the problem is on their end!.

Have you gone into the Winamp preferences menu and made sure it is the default program for that file type!? In Winamp hit CTRL-P and under General Preferences - File Types, make sure PLS is highlighted!. It probably wouldn't hurt to highlight all file types as well!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
