No the actual shark was jumped about 6 months in to his sirius contract!. He found who his real supporters were and the numbers who he thought was going to come with him aren't coming!. Outside his homebase NYC metro area, It was said that only 1% were faithful enough to buy a sirius and pay to listen to him!. (He hit the subscriber mark, however it's not said how many stayed faithful after 6 months)
After 6 months, the novelty wore off that he could say what ever he wanted to, the media that were like dogs on him because he was pushing borders are gone because he is no longer as newsworthy!. I mean look at it this way, the last thing that got Stern a mention in the news media was a stunt in Harlem during the presidential elections which was barely even covered!.
I see him actually back on terrestrial possibly in 2011 due to the hardships XM/Sirius is dealing with plus he loves the public eye and it will bring him back by technically jumping back!.
