Old radio show question...?!
Question: Old radio show question!.!.!.!?
I listen to old radio shows from the 40's and 50's a lot!. I've noticed in the background of a lot of the shows, I hear other voices!. Does anyone know - is this sounds of other radio shows being taped in adjoining studios!? Or is it other stations bleeding through the radio transmission when the show was recorded!? Www@Enter-QA@Com

It depends on your source material!. If they are original recordings, you shouldn't get this, as in the '40s and '50s the broadcasts had become pretty sophisticated - even if recording had not!. There would occasionally be some background noise from the set techs, but not a lot as you describe!.
This makes me wonder if the shows you're hearing were recorded on a mic from a live broadcast!. In other words someone taping the show from a loudspeaker to a microphone and getting some ambient background chatter!.
This could happen in a number of different scenarios - none of which seem to me to be original!. More like living room stuff!.
