That being said, however, you're not going to have much of a range! Most cb radios have the best range with a minimum of a three-foot antenna!. Whether it is magnetic-mount or permanent mount, in a normal car, truck or van, the center of the roof of the vehicle is the best spot for transmitting and receiving cb messages from behind AND in front of you!. Otherwise, if it's mounted at the front of the vehicle, most of the chatter will be ahead of you; at the back of the vehicle, most chatter will be behind you!. You want chatter from front AND rear!! (traffic-jam or waiting-police (smoky) info from ahead, smoky (police) or emergency vehicle coming up from behind from the rear!)Www@Enter-QA@Com
